Privacy Policy

BangerPrep is a music planning service operated by Lewis Jones. This policy explains what information BangerPrep processes when you use the service.

Information we collect

• Account information: your identity provider, provider account identifier, email address, display name, and profile image.
• Content you create: playlists, groups, gigs, artist and venue details, attendance, ticket offers, and group chat links.
• Connected-service information: credentials or tokens needed to use services you choose to connect, such as Qobuz.
• Authentication information: security tokens used to keep you signed in. Refresh tokens issued by BangerPrep are stored as cryptographic hashes.
• Technical information: limited server logs and request information needed to operate, secure, and diagnose the service.

Information from sign-in providers

You may sign in with Google, GitHub, or Facebook. BangerPrep requests the basic account information needed to identify your account, including your provider account identifier, name, email address, and profile image. Provider access tokens used during sign-in are used to verify your identity and retrieve this information; they are not retained as long-term BangerPrep credentials.

How we use information

• Provide and maintain your account and the features you request.
• Create playlists and support shared gig-planning features.
• Connect to music services when you ask BangerPrep to do so.
• Protect the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
• Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.

Sharing and visibility

BangerPrep does not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect users, or carry out an action you request.

Content added to a shared group may be visible to other members of that group. Links placed in group fields, including WhatsApp or Signal chat links, are visible to members who can access the group.

BangerPrep relies on service providers for hosting and identity verification and may communicate with music services and data providers when delivering requested features. Those services process information under their own privacy policies.

Cookies

BangerPrep uses strictly necessary, HTTP-only cookies to maintain authenticated sessions and protect sign-in flows. The service does not use these cookies for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Account information and user-created content are retained while needed to provide the service. Connected-service tokens remain until they are replaced, disconnected, or the associated account data is deleted. Some limited records may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, or resolving abuse.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by following the data deletion instructions. Deletion requests are handled after the account holder's identity has been verified.

Security

BangerPrep uses measures including encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted cookies, token validation, and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

BangerPrep is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

You can stop using BangerPrep, remove its access through your sign-in provider, disconnect supported music services, or request deletion. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to access, correct, object to, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the service or its data practices change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
